A slump in barley exports from Russia
Russia exported 1.6 MMT of barley in the first four months this season, or 28% less than in the same period in MY 2018/19, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The list of key importing countries did not change from last year, but only Libya stepped up purchases from Russia (near four times against July-October 2018/19).
Exports to all other destinations show a decline: Saudi Arabia -19%, Iran -21%, Turkey -51%, Israel -45% and Lebanon -63%.
