A near-record corn crop expected in Russia
Corn harvest in Russia is almost half complete (some 47%). The average yield in the country during harvest is 30-35% higher than last year. The majority of Russia’s key corn growing regions see record or near-record corn yields, reports UkrAgroConsult.
UkrAgroConsult is raising its forecast for corn production in Ukraine by 1 MMT (+27% from 2018), as yield is expected to close corn harvest at a record (+10% from the previous high hit in 2016).
The export estimate was raised by 0.6 MMT (+89% from MY 2018/19);
