Ukraine sowed the first mln ha with winter crops
As of September 15, 2025, Ukrainian farmers have sown 1,053.6 thsd ha of winter crops. Winter grain is currently being sown in 18 regions of Ukraine.
In particular, the following were sown:
- winter wheat – 248.1 thsd ha;
- winter barley – 9.3 thsd ha;
- winter rye – 5.3 thsd ha;
- winter rapeseed – 790.9 thsd ha.
Winter rapeseed is sown in all regions of Ukraine. Farmers in Vinnytsia, Volyn, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi regions have completed sowing winter rapeseed.
