2024/25 Argentina Soy Condition Improved to 29% Good/Excellent

соя

Mostly dry weather prevailed in Argentina last week easing wetness and favoring the corn harvest. Rainfall over the weekend favored central Argentina. Wetter weather is expected over the next 1-2 weeks which could slow down the corn and early soybean harvest.

A few fields of soybeans have probably been harvested in Argentina, but it is probably less than 1%. You can never be sure about soybean yields until the combines are in the field, so the soybean estimate was left unchanged this week while we wait for some actual yield reports from the field. The soybean condition rating has improved five weeks in a row so it is going to be interesting how this might be reflected in the soybean yields.

Soybeans in Argentina were rated 27% poor/very poor, 44% fair, and 29% good/excellent as of late last week. The good/excellent percentage was up 5% compared to the prior week. The soil moisture for the soybeans is 16% short/very short, 82% favorable/optimum, and 2% saturated. The favorable/optimum percentage is up 2% compared to the prior week.

Below is the soybean rating in Argentina for March 19, 2025 from the buenos Aires Grain Exchange.
