The average corn yield last week was 7,530 kg/ha (119.7 bu/ac) which was down 4.6 bu/ac from the prior week. Corn yields range from a low of 2,500 kg/ha (39.7 bu/ac) in northern Argentina to a high of 9,900 kg/ha (157.4 bu/ac) in the southern core region.
The weekly average corn yield has been declining basically since the harvest began and it is expected to continue declining as the harvest moves into the later planted corn that was impacted by the corn stunt disease. The highest yielding corn in Argentina has already been harvested.
