12 regions of Ukraine have already started the sowing season

Twelve regions have already started sowing spring crops. As of March 7, 68 thou hectares were sown in Ukraine. Of these, 4.3 thousand hectares of wheat, 38.9 thousand hectares of barley, 23.3 thousand hectares of peas and 1.5 thousand hectares of oats, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports.
Most of the crops were sown in the following regions:
- Odesa region – 33 thousand hectares. Of these, 0.5 thousand hectares of wheat, 17.5 thousand hectares of barley, 14.3 thousand hectares of peas and 0.7 oats;
- Mykolaiv region – 0.7 thou hectares of wheat, 11.5 thou hectares of barley, 6 thou hectares of peas and 0.2 oats;
- Ternopil region – 0.8 thou hectares of wheat, 4.3 thou hectares of barley and 0.7 thou hectares of peas
- Khmelnytsky region – 2.2 thou hectares of barley and 0.3 thou hectares of oats;
- Vinnytsia region – 1.8 thou hectares of wheat, 0.4 thou hectares of barley and 1.2 thou hectares of peas.
