Mr. Basse was raised on a dairy/grain farm in Waukesha, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1979. Dan has worked with Professional Farmers of America, Brock Associates and the agricultural research division of GNP Commodities in Chicago. In 1987, Mr. Basse founded AgResource Company to serve the needs of the United States and world agriculture community. Mr. Basse is a member of Farm Foundation and the Commodity Market Council.

Main function is purchasing oilseeds and grains for further processing and export and setting up long-term relations with partners.

Kernel is the biggest agproducer and exporter in Ukraine. World leader in sunflower oil – around 8% of sunoil exports.

Daniel Jarnea is currently the Head of Marketing Department of the Constanta Port Administration.

Mr. Jarnea has a background in Foreign Affairs and a degree from the Romanian-American University in Bucharest. His practical experience in the port sector started in 2003, as a marketing specialist.

Over the years, Mr. Jarnea organised and participated in transport dedicated events and has been an experienced speaker, representing the Port of Constanta in multiple conferences, exhibitions and panels.

Victoria has almost 20 years of experience in the agriculture trade industry, focusing on quality and safety of commodities. As an International Sales and Customer Care Manager with SGS, she is in charge of supporting clients’ requirements when it comes to inspection and testing of international agri shipments.

Petr Krogman is owner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agromino Group and serves as the President of the Ukrainian-Czech Chamber of Commerce (UKRCHAM).

He has an entrepreneurial background of more than 25 years’ experience in the agricultural and financial sectors.

Harm de Wilde grew up at his parent’s arable farm in the south west of the Netherlands. He studied agriculture in the Netherlands, followed by a study in International Business Management in Barcelona. Harm then graduated at the University of Westminster in London in Business Management. He worked for the Home Grown Cereals Authority (HGCA) for just over a year as an economist before joining Cefetra.

Jean-Patrick Caumont, is Broker, Senior Account Executive, at EYSSAUTIER-VERLINGUE group. This company is one of the French leaders in marine insurance brokerage.

His added value is mainly based on his experiences as a logistics manager especially in soft commodities from grains, oil seeds to vegoils products, originated from Europe, Black sea, Asia and South America to any destinations around the world.

Experience went as well through fertilizers sourced from Black sea region and mainly Ukraine to South America and Asia.

After a few years as a physical commodity trader, a few major claims turned his experience towards risk management and prevention.

He joined the insurance industry in 2014, bringing this strong experience to the benefit of his insured through risk analysis and insurance policy innovations.

Mr. Matt Ammermann is a commodity risk management consultant in the Eastern Europe/Black Sea region with the StoneX Financial Inc- FCM Division.

Kyle Tapley is a Meteorologist and Senior Sales Manager at Maxar. He joined the team following his graduation from Penn State University in 2008 with a degree in Meteorology. Mr. Tapley has more than 15 years of experience forecasting weather for major crop areas around the world, with an emphasis on how weather conditions affect production of agricultural commodities. Mr. Tapley contributes to WeatherDesk seasonal forecasts and communicates with WeatherDesk customers daily. Mr. Tapley is also responsible for generating new sales of Maxar’s WeatherDesk products and is a frequent speaker at agricultural conferences globally.

Filipe is the managing director of Bryce SA, a Swiss-based commodities trading firm, focused on Ukrainian origin grains, and he’s also the founder/investor in GreenEmissions, a Swedish-based carbon trading platform. Previously, he was in trade finance as the Vice President for the American and European continents at a Nasdaq-listed multinational at the time, leading business development and trade finance structuring on behalf of clients in the region.

For his education, he holds a doctorate in business administration, focused on sustainability, a master’s degree in environmental sciences and a bachelor’s degree in business. Filipe is a published author in peer-reviewed scientific papers in sustainability. He speaks Portuguese, English and French fluently, with working knowledge of Spanish and German, also learning Korean and Russian.

Agriculture economist with 18 years of professional experience in Serbian grains and oilseeds sector, located in Belgrade, Serbia. Sunchitsa was elected as the Managing Director of Serbia Grains Association (Zita Srbije) in 2020. Prior to the election was at the position of Serbia Grains Association Secretary General since 2009.

Focused on data management and developing accurate statistical analysis as a key to succesful production and trading operations she co-authored a number of papers related to Serbia’s grain sector commissioned by the UN FAO and the EBRD in different projects she was part of.

Yulia Garkavenko – Oilseed Market Expert, Head of Analytics at UkrAgroConsult.

Being with the company since 2008, Yulia is specializing in oilseed and vegoil market of Ukraine and Black Sea countries. Yulia’s primary focus is crop forecasts, S&D; balances and market studies.

Yulia is an author and chief editor of UkrAgroConsult’s specialized weekly Newsletter “Black Sea Vegoils”, holds numerous publications in Ukrainian and internatinal agricultural media, is a regular speaker at the top agricultural conferences.

Co-founder and Commercial Director of Spike Brokers, a brokerage company that assists Ukrainian farmers in exporting agricultural commodities to international markets.

Oleksandr has over 17 years of successful trading and expertise in the grain business.

In 2020 together with partners Andriy Selepey and Yaroslav Volkovetskyy, he co-founded the brokerage company Spike Brokers, specializing in trade and freight brokerage and providing comprehensive support for deals between sellers and buyers.

In its three years of operation, Spike Brokers has become a leader in the Ukrainian agro-brokerage market, successfully facilitating nearly 2000 deals for the sale of agricultural products for hundreds of Ukrainian farmers to markets in 12 European countries.

Oleksandr Isnyuk has 15 years of experience in corporate business. He began his career in corporate business as a manager at Credit Agricole Ukraine. At Ukrsibbank, BNP Paribas headed Agrocenter. For the past seven years, he has been heading the corporate business in state-owned banks: first at Ukrazbank, and now he is the director of the corporate business department at Ukreximbank.

Donau Soja is a not-for-profit membership organisation with a particular emphasis on sustainable European Non-GMO soya production. The organisation owns Standards on sustainable, deforestation & conversion-free non-GM soya production with controlled origin.

For the last two years, more than 1 mln tonnes of soybeans in Ukraine were certified according to the Donau Soja Standards, meaning more favourable business conditions for the farmers and companies. In wartime, Donau Soja supports farmers in Ukraine compensating the costs for the purchase of certified non-GM soya seeds – increasing the yields and improving the technology of farmers, thus contributing to climate change mitigation.

Volodymyr Pugachov has over a decade of experience on projects with unique challenges for a variety of Scientific Institutions, NGOs, State Authorities, and International Projects. Oleksandr Artiushyn is a senior agribusiness expert with experience in weather risk transfer, soft commodities, and agricultural finance. Based in Zurich, Oleksandr is structuring innovative risk transfer solutions at the global Weather & Ag Risk Partners team of Munich Re, the globally largest reinsurance company. Before joining Munich Re, Oleksandr was heading Food & Agriculture Origination EMEA at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and was managing agriculture-related development work of U.S. Agency for International Development in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus. Previously, he was leading soft commodity and biotech market research for Ukraine and Moldova at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. His previous experience includes management roles in business associations, as well as equity research work for an investment bank.
