Ukraine may increase margarine production in 2018
Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 19.4 KMT of margarine in September 2018, i.e. 51.6% more than in the previous month (12.8 KMT) but 1% less than in September 2017 (19.6 KMT).
This season’s margarine production (January-September) was down 0.6% year-over-year at 157.3 KMT against 158.3 KMT a year ago, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Taking into account the upcoming seasonal surge in margarine market activity ahead of the year-end, UkrAgroConsult still expects the year-over-year production gap, which currently equals 1 KMT, to be filled in 2018. Moreover, annual margarine output will likely gain up to 0.5% and reach 227.5 KMT.
