Ukraine. Planting of winter grains slowed down to 10% behind last year
According to the latest update as of October 8, planting of winter grains slowed down to 10.2% behind last year. Planting of winter rape is 4.3% ahead of last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Corn harvest has slowed down to 12.0% ahead of last year with 1.6% higher yield than in 2018. Buckwheat harvest is 38.2% behind last year, with 7.9% higher yield than in 2018. Millet harvest is 71.4% ahead of last year, with 21.9% higher yield than in 2018.
Sunflower harvest progress and yield are up 3.0% and 8.4% year-on-year, respectively.
Soybean harvest has slowed down to 13.1% ahead of last year with 5.9% lower yield than in 2018.
