Russian wheat exports in the new season down 24%
According to preliminary data, Russia exported 2.9 MMT of wheat in July 2019/20 (-24% from July 2018/19, +33% from the five-year average for this month), reports UkrAgroConsult.
As before, the biggest importers in July included traditional markets such as Turkey, Egypt, Vietnam and Sudan.
July 2019/20 witnessed a year-on-year rise in exports to Turkey (+112%), Azerbaijan (+208%), Tanzania (+41%), Israel (+10%).
For now, exports to the following destinations are much lower than last year: the EU (-52%), Sudan (-47%), Vietnam (-45%), Bangladesh (-42%).
