Ukraine exports 4.7 million tonnes of grain this marketing year
Ukraine has exported 4.7 million tonnes of grain since the beginning of 2019/2020 MY.
"As of August 8, Ukraine exported 4.7 million tonnes of grain since the beginning of 2019/2020 marketing year, registering an increase of 1.6 million tonnes compared to the same period last marketing year," the press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine reports.
In particular, 1.9 million tonnes of wheat, 1.1 million tonnes of barley, and 1.6 million tonnes of corn were delivered to foreign markets.
In addition, 29,500 tonnes of wheat and other crops’ flour were exported.
In June 2018 – May 2019, Ukraine exported the agricultural products to the EU to the tune of EUR 6.47 billion, up 20.4% compared to the same period in 2017-2018. In terms of agricultural exports to the EU from June 2018 to May 2019, Ukraine ranked third behind the United States (EUR 12.96 billion) and Brazil (EUR 11.7 billion).
