Ukrainian grain exports grow in current MY – experts
Since the beginning of the new marketing year 2019/2020, Ukraine has exported grain crops by 4.9 million tonnes more than during the same period last year.
Consulting agency UkrAgroConsult reported this with a reference to the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service.
“According to official data, since the beginning of 2019/2020 MY and as of October 31, 2019, Ukraine’s export of grain crops amounted to 17.94 million tonnes (4.99 million tonnes more than in the same period last season),” the report states.
In particular, over the reporting period, wheat exports grew by 3.5 million tonnes and reached 10.91 million tonnes. Barley exports made up 3.2 million tonnes (an increase of 534,000 tonnes). Corn exports amounted to 3.6 million tonnes (an increase of 950,000 tonnes), and rye exports reached 5 thousand tonnes (a decrease of 58,000 tonnes).
In addition, the export of wheat flour to foreign markets over the reporting period amounted to 109,700 tonnes (an increase of 45,600 tonnes).
