Yields in Ukraine set a new historical record
Agrarians have received a record harvest in the history of Ukraine. This was stated by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky during an international conference, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports.
Mykola Solsky noted that despite the difficult wartime and difficult circumstances, most farmers plan to continue doing their business.
“Ukrainian farmers have shown the whole world how firm, professional, resilient and purposeful they are. And even in such a difficult year, they managed to get the highest yield per hectare in the history of Ukraine. Of course, the weather helped, but without the heroic work of farmers, we would not have achieved such results,” the Minister emphasized.
He also expressed his gratitude to Howard Buffett for helping Ukraine and its farmers.
Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Markiyan Dmytrasevych emphasized that the assistance of international partners during the full-scale invasion helps to support the work of the agricultural sector, in particular the smallest farmers. He emphasized that next year, farmers’ support programs will also continue to operate: affordable loans at 5-7-9% and a grant program for the development of horticulture, greenhouse farming and processing.
