Without a Ukrainian farmer, it is impossible to guarantee global food security – Zelenskyy

Ukraine is becoming a leader in global efforts for world food security. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his annual message to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“This year has shown that without a Ukrainian farmer, without Ukrainian agricultural exports, it is impossible to guarantee not only food, but also social security for dozens of countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. Our two food initiatives have restored the world’s vital stability,” he said.
Ukraine sent more than 15 million tons of food to 40 countries in 5 months as part of the “grain initiative”. More than 30 donor countries have already joined Grain from Ukraine, which will provide $200 million to the humanitarian initiative.
“Even now, when it’s hard for us, we have shared Ukrainian bread with those who have it even harder,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
