Winter wheat and spring barley harvesting has begun in France

Last week, winter wheat and spring barley harvesting began in France, and the winter barley harvest has made significant progress.
According to the state agency FranceAgriMer, 1% of the area under winter wheat (1% on average for the same date over the past five years) and 1% (1%) of the area under spring barley have been threshed by June 23.
The winter barley harvest has been collected from 22% (13%) of the area by June 23. Of this, 21% was threshed last week.
Durum wheat has been harvested from 4% (5%) of the area.
The development of corn crops is proceeding faster than usual. 96% (92%) of the crops are in the 6-8 leaf phase. The share of corn crops in good and very good condition is 81%, the same as a year earlier.
