Wheat exports from Canada and the US show the best performance in the last decade

Wheat shipments from North America remain strong since the start of the new marketing year. Both the United States and Canada are off to a strong start to their exports, Canadian Cattlemen reports, citing analyst Doug Falconer.
Despite limited statistics due to the US government shutdown, export inspection data continues to be released. For the week ending October 16, US wheat exports totaled 480.6 thousand tonnes, bringing the total since the start of the season (June 1) to 11.92 million tonnes. This is the highest figure for the US since the 2013/14 marketing year.
In Canada, data from the Canadian Grain Commission shows a stable pace of wheat shipments, which are published weekly. Exporters from both countries are in high demand on world markets amid reduced supply from the Black Sea region and adverse weather conditions in some producing countries.
