Vegetable oil prices continued to fall
Over the week of December 12–18, soybean oil prices on the Chicago exchange decreased by 2.71 USc to 48.11 USc/lb.
Soybean oil prices follow soybean futures and the gradual decline in energy sector prices. Meanwhile, the Malaysian government has reduced export duties by 0.5 percentage points to 9.5% for January 2026, which could boost exports.
