US Embassy welcomes departure of first grain ship from Odesa
The US Embassy in Ukraine has welcomed the departure from the Odesa port of the first ship loaded with unblocked Ukrainian grain.
According to Ukrinform, the embassy wrote this on Twitter.
“We welcome the departure of the first vessel from Ukraine’s Black Sea ports since Russia’s full-scale invasion on Feb 24. The world will be watching for continued implementation of this agreement to feed people around the world As reported, on the morning of August 1, the Sierra Leone-flagged cargo ship RAZONI, loaded with 26,000 tonnes of Ukrainian corn, left the Odesa port bound for the port of Tripoli in Lebanon.with millions of tons of trapped Ukrainian grain,” the embassy said.
