Ukrainian soybean exports totaled 305 thsd tonnes in January

Since the beginning of 2023/24 MY, Ukrainian companies exported 1.9 mln tonnes of soybeans. This is up 18% compared to the same period last season (1.6 mln tonnes).
In January 2024, Ukraine exported 305 thsd tonnes of soybeans. In December 2023, the figure was 436 thsd tonnes, and in January 2023 – 406 thsd tonnes.
The main factor of the export growth in the new season is the record harvest of this crop in 2023 at the level of 4.8 mln tonnes.
Analysts predict that the volume of soybean processing in the current season will be 1.5-1.6 mln tonnes.

In January, the exports of soybean oil totaled 31 thsd tonnes, and 139 thsd tonnes in the first five months of the new season (110 thsd tonnes in September-January of 2022/23). In general, Ukraine exported approximately 277 thsd tonnes of soybean oil in 2022/23 season (23 thsd tonnes per month on average), which is equivalent to 1.4-1.5 mln tonnes of soybeans.
