Ukrainian grain exports in April significantly exceeded last year’s figures

In April 2024, Ukraine exported 5 mln 660 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 2 mln 282 thsd tonnes or 1.67 times more than in April 2023. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In April 2024, the export of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 1 mln 708 thsd tonnes, up 428 thsd tonnes or almost 1.33 times compared to the same month last year.
Also, in April 2024, Ukrainian farmers exported 210 thsd tonnes of barley, which is 131 thsd tonnes less compared to April 2023 and 0.2 thsd tonnes of rye (in April 2023, rye was not exported abroad).
In April 2024, the export of Ukrainian corn amounted to 3 mln 732 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 824 thsd tonnes or almost twice as much as in April 2023.
In addition, in April 2024, 6.8 thsd tonnes of flour (or 9.1 thsd tonnes in terms of grain) were exported, which is 41 thsd tonnes or almost 1.5 times less than in April 2023.
