Ukrainian grain exports fell behind last year’s figures

As of February 24, in 2024/2025 MY Ukraine exported 28 mln 429 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 150 thsd tonnes or 0.5% less than last year. Thus, for the first time in the marketing year, the rate of grain exports abroad was lower than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Wheat exports amounted to 11 mln 743 thsd tonnes, which is 477 thsd tonnes or 4.2% more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 2 million 113 thousand tons of barley and 10.8 thousand tons of rye.
Corn exports amounted to 14 mln 133 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 306 thsd tonnes or 9.2% less than last year.
In addition, 46.4 thou tons of flour (or 61.9 thou tons in terms of grain) were exported, which is 25.8 thou tons or 1.55 times less than last year.
The share of agricultural products in Ukraine’s total exports is 64%.
