Ukraine’s grain exports outpaced last season’s figures
The volume of exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY as of May 17 amounted to over 44.2 mln tonnes. This is up 260 thsd tonnes (0.6%) compared to the same period last season.
This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, since the beginning of the season, 16.6 mln tons of wheat have been shipped, which is 1.55 mln tons or 10% higher than last year.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 2.3 mln tons, which is 10% less than last year.
Rye was shipped in 1.3 thousand tons (-93%).
Ukraine exported 24.8 mln tons of corn, which is 1.2 mln tons or 5% less than the same date last season.
Ukraine exported 89.9 thsd tonnes of flour, down 45.2 thsd tonnes or 33% year-on-year.
