Ukrainian grain exports exceeded 41.3 million tons
As of May 1, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 41 mln 365 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 230 thsd tonnes less than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 15 million 778 thousand tons, which is 1 million 393 thousand tons or 1.09 times more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 2 million 202 thousand tons of barley and 1.2 thousand tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 22 mln 906 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 518 thsd tonnes or 1.06 times less than last year.
In addition, 86.6 thousand tons of flour (or 115.5 thousand tons in terms of grain) were exported, which is 41.0 thousand tons or 1.47 times less than last year.
The preliminary data on grain and pulses exports were published by the Ministry of Agriculture on April 29. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY, 40 mln 711 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses were exported.
As a reminder, the exports of agricultural products in the first half of 2023/24 MY are 17% lower than last year.
