Ukrainian farmers harvested more than 20 mln tons of corn

an area of 18.9 million hectares. In total, 49.9 million tons of grains and almost 19 million tons of oilseeds were harvested.
In particular
- wheat – 4.9 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, with a harvest of 22.3 million tons
- barley – 1.4 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, with a harvest of 5.6 million tons
- peas – 212.2 thou hectares (or 100%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 470.4 thou tons;
- corn – 3.3 million hectares (or 83%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 20.2 million tons;
- millet – 86.5 thousand hectares (or 93%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 160.3 thousand tons;
- buckwheat – 87.8 thou hectares (or 99%), harvested 127.2 thou tons;
- sunseed – 4.7 million hectares (or 95%) were harvested, with 9.7 million tons of seeds harvested;
- soybeans – 2.5 million hectares (or 96%) were harvested, 5.8 million tons of seeds were harvested;
- rapeseed – 1.3 million hectares (or 100%), harvested 3.5 million tons of seeds.
In terms of gross grain harvest, the leaders are agricultural producers in Odesa region – 4.4 mln tonnes, Poltava region – 4.1 mln tonnes, and Chernihiv region – 4 mln tonnes. In terms of yields, farmers in Khmelnytsky region are ahead with 7.49 t/ha, Chernihiv region – 6.83 t/ha, and Bukovyna – 6.65 t/ha.
Agrarians in 16 regions are harvesting sugar beet, which has been dug on an area of 223.2 thousand hectares, or 87%. They have harvested 10.7 million tons of sweet roots.
