Ukrainian corn exports exceeded last year’s figures
As of June 19, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 49 mln 274 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 1 mln 784 thsd tonnes or 3.7% more than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 18 mln 083 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 769 thsd tonnes or 10.8% more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 2 million 461 thousand tons of barley and 1.6 thousand tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 28 mln 192 thsd tonnes, which is 7 thsd tonnes more than last year. For the first time since the beginning of the marketing year, the grain exports exceeded last year’s figures.
In addition, the country exported 96.3 thsd tonnes of flour (or 128.4 thsd tonnes in terms of grain), which is 51.0 thsd tonnes or almost 53% less than last year.
The preliminary data on grain and pulses exports were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on June 17. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY the total export volume of grains and pulses was 48 mln 948 thsd tonnes.
