Ukrainian automotive agricultural exports return to the border with Poland
Export shipments of agricultural products by road in the first 6 days of May this year amounted to 81 thousand tons, which is 9% more than in the same period in April (74 thousand tons). This was reported by Spike Brokers.
“During this period, the volume of transportation on the Polish border increased to 19.1 thsd tonnes, which is almost three times more than in the same period in April – 7.4 thsd tonnes. At the other checkpoints, transportation volumes have declined sharply,” the experts say.
The average daily throughput at all borders in the first 6 days of May increased to 13.5 thousand tons compared to the same indicator in April, which amounted to 12.4 thousand tons for the corresponding period.
“The largest volume of exports by road is sugar – 14.7 thousand tons and sunflower oil – 12.3 thousand tons,” the analysts added.
Freight rates to Europe remained unchanged in anticipation of the new harvest.
