Black Sea grain corridor: Ukraine’s losses reached $1 billion

Ukraine’s damage from the downtime of vessels in the queue has already reached $1 billion. This is the money that Ukrainian producers do not receive because of the rising cost of logistics.
This was stated by the President of the Ukrainian Grain Association Mykola Gorbachev in his commentary to AgroPortal.ua.
According to UGA, now 38 vessels are in line for passage to Ukrainian ports.
Rashist manipulations in the grain agreement: Ukraine has a contingency plan
There is a vessel that has been in the queue since April 16th, i.e. almost 2 months, whereas the fine for the vessel`s idle time is about $20000 per day, Mykola Gorbachov says.
At the same time, he adds that in conditions when the Russians block the work of the grain initiative or in case they withdraw from the agreement with the UN and Turkey, Ukraine has a plan B – the work of the grain initiative without the participation of the Russians.
