Agricultural products continue to be the basis of Ukrainian exports. In 2025, farmers sold goods worth $22.6 billion. The EU remains our main partner, but its dominance is gradually melting away, and the geography of sales is gradually diversifying. This was announced by the Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Taras Vysotsky.

According to him, if earlier more than half of the products went to the EU, now this share is 47.5%. The main reason is the return of quotas for trade with the European Union in June 2025. This restriction will be in effect throughout 2026. As a result, foreign exchange earnings from exports to the EU decreased by $2.1 billion.

According to the department, in 2025, Ukraine’s agricultural exports were distributed as follows:

  • $10.7 billion – the EU;
  • $4.4 billion – the Middle East;
  • $2.8 billion – African countries;
  • $1.7 billion – Southeast Asia.

The largest individual sales markets remain Egypt, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Poland and Turkey.

Ukraine is successfully reorienting itself towards the markets of the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia. Key destinations include India, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Vietnam, as well as countries in sub-Saharan Africa and Central Asia. These markets have their own characteristics: product requirements there are often softer than in the European Union, but prices can fluctuate significantly.

For almost 30 years of expertise in the agri markets, UkrAgroConsult has accumulated an extensive database, which became the basis of the platform AgriSupp.

It is a multi-functional online platform with market intelligence for grains and oilseeds that enables to get access to daily operational information on the Black Sea & Danube markets, analytical reports, historical data.
