Ukraine. Ukroliyaprom offers to import raw materials for processing
Today, the question arises: how can a processor be supplied with raw materials? The only way out is to buy the harvest abroad.
This opinion was expressed by Stepan Kapshuk, General Director of Ukroliyaprom Association, during the International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN. KYIV-2025 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE.
“Europe buys 14 mln tons of soybeans and 6 mln tons of meal from Ukraine, why can’t Ukraine do the same? It is worth thinking about the replenishment of raw materials from abroad, and I believe that sooner or later we will go this way, because there are a lot of processing capacities in Ukraine and they are only half loaded,” said Stepan Kapshuk.
He added that today Ukraine has raw materials, but they are stored in warehouses and not processed, and the longer they are stored, and if the new harvest is good, the cheaper the grain will be.
