Ukraine. The government of the country has developed a mechanism for compensating losses in the logistics industry
The Cabinet of Ministers decided to ensure the allocation of funds from the reserve fund of the state budget to compensate for damage during military operations on the territory of Ukraine, and in case of refusal by policyholders to provide insurance coverage for such risks:
• charters, operators and owners of sea vessels in case of stay of such vessels in the waters of Ukrainian ports in the Danube Region;
• owners and operators of rolling stock in case of stay on the territory of Ukraine.
According to UkrAgroConsult, this step will encourage foreign companies to use their fleet and railway cars on the territory of Ukraine. The creation of such a mechanism will support agricultural exports from the ports of the Danube Region and provide compensation for possible losses.
Operational information on shipments of grain, oilseeds and processed products from the ports of Ukraine is available for subscribers of the AgriSupp online platform in the section Vessel Lineup, Ukraine.
