Ukraine started sowing soybeans

Ukrainian farmers have started sowing soybeans, with 13 regions having already planted 18.8 thousand hectares, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports. Grains and pulses have already been sown on 1 mln 368 thsd ha, including:
- spring wheat – 206.1 thousand hectares;
- spring barley – 639.0 thou hectares;
- peas – 121.2 thou hectares;
- oats – 112.2 thou hectares;
- corn – 252.7 thousand hectares;
- buckwheat – 0.33 thou hectares;
- millet – 4.5 thou hectares;
- other grains and pulses – 32 thou hectares.
Over the past week, a total of 362.3 thou hectares of grains and pulses were sown, with Sumy region leading the way with 70.9 thou hectares.
Sugar beet is being sown in 14 regions, with 96.1 thou hectares planted.
Sunflower is being sown in all regions of Ukraine, with 490.2 thou hectares planted.
