Ukraine. Starokostiantyniv oil extraction plant starts operating
Starokostiantyniv oil extraction plant of Kernel Agro Holding has started working and is already buying sunseed.
Oleksandr Golovin, the company’s commercial director in Ukraine, told Latifundist.com in an interview.
“We are buying sunseed. The plant is already operating at 50% capacity and is gaining momentum. We started with sunseed – the plant is equipped with two processing lines. Next, we will experiment with rapeseed and soybeans. The conditions for this are there – it is a very powerful plant both in terms of processing – up to a million tons of products per year – and in terms of storage – 120 thousand tons of sunflower seeds can be stored at a time,” says Golovin.
According to him, the remaining stock will allow the plant to load rapeseed by 15-20%.
