Ukraine should not count on large revenues from grain exports – opinion
The main consumers of grain are not the richest countries, and the world is now in the process of inflation. Therefore, there is no place to count on large receipts of funds for purchases. Ukraine is no exception.
This was stated by Maxigrain development manager Elena Neroba, according to the material on AgroRolit.com.
“For example, we can see how one of our biggest buyers – Turkey – is close to default. However, in general the situation is stable, Ukraine is entering the new year on the price plateau. That is, grain prices have fallen slightly, because there is volume in the market, but demand has fallen. Most of our customers have already bought what they need. Only Egypt has not purchased Ukrainian products in the volume they need. I think that in the near future they will intensify, but it is worth remembering that the products are offered not only by us, but also by Russia, France (which has almost lost the Algerian grain market) and other players, “said Neroba.
According to Zernotorg.ua analyst Alexander Tishchenko, in the current 2021/22 season, markets continue to be affected by insane global inflation, which is not yet going to slow growth.
