Ukraine reduced grain exports by 10.8% to 40.6 million tons from the beginning of 2022/2023
The actual volume of grain exports by Ukraine since the beginning of the 2022/2023 marketing year (July 2022 – June 2023) as of April 21 is 40.557 million tons, which is 10.8% or 4.918 million tons less than in the same period of the previous marketing year, UkrAgroConsult reports with reference to Ukrainian News.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukrainian News reports.
13,904 thousand tons of wheat, 2,424 thousand tons of barley, 17.8 thousand tons of rye and 23,905 thousand tons of corn have already been exported.
At the same time, during the specified period, the export of wheat flour and flour from other crops increased by 81%, or by 55.8 thousand tons, to 124.8 thousand tons.
According to the results of the 2021/2022 marketing year (July 2021 – June 2022), Ukraine’s actual grain export volumes amounted to 48.508 million tons, which is 8.5% or 3.79 million tons more than the previous marketing year.
