Ukraine produced almost 47kt of sugar
2024/2025 sugar-refining season is gaining momentum in Ukraine.
As of September 12, sugar beets are harvested from the area of 16.2 thousand hectares. Currently, the average yield amounts to 46 t/ha.
14 sugar factories in 8 regions of Ukraine have already started sugar beet processing. In the first decade of September 2024, sugar production amounted to 46.7 thousand tonnes; export — 5 thousand tonnes.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 1 mln 163 thsd tons of barley and 7.5 thsd tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 2 mln 498 thsd tons, which is 187 thsd tons or almost 8.0% more than last year.
In addition, 14.4 thousand tons of flour (or 19.2 thsd tons in terms of grain) were shipped abroad, which is 14.4 thsd tons or more than half as much as last year.
