Ukraine plans to increase its contribution to food security of Gulf countries
The officials of Ukraine and the UAE discussed bilateral projects in the context of strengthening the role of Ukraine as a contributor to the food security of the Gulf countries.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a corresponding statement following a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Senik and UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Head of the Emirati party at the Ukrainian-Emirati Coordination Council Mariam Al-Muhairi.
The main topic of the meeting was the current state of bilateral investment, trade and economic relations between Ukraine and the UAE.
“The parties also discussed new bilateral projects in the context of strengthening Ukraine’s role as a contributor to the food security of the Gulf countries, intensifying cooperation in tourism, development of infrastructure projects …, steps to increase trade and revitalize business ties, in particular in the context of joint investment projects and opportunities to increase Ukrainian agricultural exports to the UAE,” reads the statement.
Senik and Al-Muhairi touched upon the issue of intensifying political contacts at high and the highest levels.
The Ukrainian deputy foreign minister pointed out the significant progress of the UAE in combating climate change through innovative national programs and congratulated on the decision to host the next COP28 summit.
