Ukraine plans to export another 40 million tons of grain by the end of the season
Ukraine plans to export another 36-40 million tons of agricultural products by the end of MY 2023/24. In particular, through the sea corridor.
This was stated by Denys Marchuk, Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council (Vseukrainska Agrarna Rada – VAR), during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
According to him, since the beginning of January, more than 2 million tons of grain have been exported through the Black Sea sea corridor.
“Currently, more than 36 vessels are waiting for loading. In particular, for unloading agricultural products. In terms of security, which is guaranteed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we are able to attract international companies to enter the port infrastructure of Ukraine in Odesa ports and, accordingly, increase the potential for exporting grain and oilseeds,” said Denys Marchuk.
He noted that in the next six months (MY 2023/24) Ukraine should export 36-40 million tons of agricultural products.
“In total, the export potential for this season reaches more than 60 million tons. About 50 million tons are grain crops, and about 10 million tons are oilseeds,” the VAR Deputy Chairman emphasized.
