Ukraine to impose 10% duty on soybean and rapeseed exports starting August 1

The Verkhovna Rada, at its meeting on July 16, voted in the second reading for bill No. 13157, which included soybean and rapeseed amendments. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
“Well, despite the regulations and all the reservations, bill 13157 with the soybean amendment received 245 votes,” he wrote.
This bill included 2 amendments related to the export of oilseeds. The first directly provides for the introduction of an export duty on rapeseed and soybeans in the amount of 10% from the 1st of the next month of the adoption of the law.
The second amendment concerns the creation of a fund to support commodity producers. This is the compromise that the agricultural committee demanded in order to support the “soybean-rapeseed” amendments.
Parliament voted in favor of both amendments.
