Ukraine. It may take several months to harvest the corn left in the fields
About 47% of corn crops in Ukraine remain unharvested. Taras Vysotskyi, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, announced this.
At the same time, he assured that the corn crop will be harvested this year, as Ukraine already has a successful experience of harvesting it in winter.
“There are still 11-12 million tons of corn left in the fields. It will be possible to collect it, but depending on weather conditions, it can take from several weeks to several months. Ukraine has the experience of collecting it in previous peaceful years. Everything depends on the weather – it can stand in the fields until spring, if there are favorable factors such as humidity, then it will definitely be removed. The speed of harvesting will also depend on the weather factor,” said Vysotskyi.
