Ukraine has shipped 2.3 million tons of agricultural products since the beginning of the new year
In the first 15 days of the new year, Ukraine shipped 2.3 million tons of agricultural products. This is less than in the 18 days of December, when the volume of Ukrainian agricultural products crossed the border at 3.6 million tons.
Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has shipped 41.3 million tons of agricultural products, including almost 9 million tons of wheat and 16.7 million tons of corn. Sunflower oil ranks third in terms of supplies with 3.4 million tons.
The largest amount of corn was shipped in the first half of January – 1.1 million tons. This is 500 thsd tonnes less than in the first 18 days of December. The tonnage of wheat shipments also almost halved to 437 thsd tonnes.
The third position in terms of shipments for the first 15 days of January is occupied by meals and soybeans. They have the same number of shipments – 199 thsd tonnes of each crop. For example, during the 18 days of the last month, the exports of meals decreased by 53 thsd tonnes, while soybeans increased by 39 thsd tonnes.
Sunflower oil shipments halved: while in 18 days of December it was 303 thsd tonnes, in 15 days of January the figure dropped to 148 thsd tonnes.
An even bigger difference in supplies is observed in the case of sunflower seeds: 93 thsd tonnes in 15 days of January against 230 thsd tonnes in 18 days of December.
Barley shipments are also downwardly revised. In the first half of January, the amount of barley shipped was 26 thsd tonnes less than in 18 days of December. We are talking about 72 thsd tonnes.
Rapeseed shipments actually decreased by 4 times, which is primarily due to the end of the season for this crop. Therefore, in the first half of this month, they amounted to only 44 thsd tonnes.
The volume of soybean oil remained virtually unchanged at 11 thsd tonnes.
The overall picture of the volume of agricultural products that have already crossed the border of Ukraine in percentage terms for 15 days of January is as follows: 48.29% is corn, 18.76% is wheat, 8.56% is meal, 8.54% is beans, 6.36% is sunflower oil, 4% is sunflower seeds, barley is 3.11%, 1.89% is rapeseed, and 0.47% is soybean oil.
