Ukraine has not received a single complaint about grain quality from the EU in six months
Over the past six months, Ukraine has not received any notifications from the EU countries and Poland in particular regarding grain quality.
This was announced by the head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Serhiy Tkachuk, in an interview with Ukrinform.
He reminded that last year the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection received complaints about the quality of Ukrainian grain, which amounted to 0.17% of total exports.
Mr. Tkachuk noted that sometimes Ukrainian exporters are not interested in the requirements of a particular country and therefore find themselves in unpleasant situations.
“For example, they submit samples to a laboratory to check for five substances, and the products are checked for nine substances after crossing the border. We had such a misunderstanding with prune exports, in particular,” he said.
