Ukraine has already harvested more than 2.5 million tons of corn

Ukrainian farmers harvested 46.7 mln tons of grains and oilseeds as of the first week of October. Grain and pulses were harvested on the area of 7 258 thou hectares with the yield of 44.5 c/ha, and 32 308.2 thou tons of grain were harvested, including
- wheat threshed on 4,695 thousand hectares (yield – 47.3 c/ha), harvested 22,210.9 thousand tons;
- barley was harvested on 1,505 thousand hectares (yield – 39.0 c/ha), with a harvest of 5,863 thousand tons;
- peas were harvested on 154.4 thousand hectares (yield – 25.7 c/ha), 396.8 thousand tons were harvested;
- corn was harvested on 414 thousand hectares (yield – 62.5 c/ha), harvested 2 million 585.5 thousand tons;
- buckwheat was harvested on 122.4 thousand hectares (yield – 14.2 c/ha), 173.8 thousand tons were harvested;
- millet was harvested on 68.7 thou hectares (yield – 22.6 c/ha), 155.1 thou tons were harvested;
- other grains and pulses were harvested on 300 thou hectares, yielding 923.1 thou tons.
Oilseeds were harvested on an area of 5 787.7 thou hectares, with a total harvest of 14 432 thou tons, namely
- rapeseed was harvested on an area of 1,396 thou hectares (yield – at 28.7 c/ha), and 4,005 thou tons of seeds were harvested;
- sunseed was harvested on the area of 3 171 thousand hectares (yield – 23.0 c/ha), 7 308 thousand tons of seeds were harvested;
- soybeans were harvested on the area of 1 220.3 thou hectares (yield – 25.6 c/ha), and 3 118 thou tons were harvested.
Sugar beet harvesting continues, with the area of 68.4 thou hectares dug up to 3,267 thou tons of sweet roots, yielding 477.5 c/ha.
