Ukraine harvested more than 30.6 mln tons of grains and oilseeds

The harvest in Ukraine is coming to an end. Agrarians in Bukovyna, Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Poltava, Odesa, Kherson, Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions have completed harvesting early grains and pulses.
A total of 27.3 million tons of grains and over 3.3 mln tons of oilseeds have been harvested. The new harvest was threshed on an area of over 7.741 mln ha, yielding 30.64 mln tons.
- wheat – threshed on an area of 4.732 mln ha or 97%, harvested 20.935 mln tons;
- barley – 1.367 mln ha were threshed, or 98%, with a harvest of 5.203 mln tons;
- peas – threshed on an area of 207.6 thsd ha by 99%, harvested 457.7 thsd tons.
- rapeseed – 1.22 mln ha were threshed by 99%, 3.318 mln tons of seeds were harvested.
Grain harvesting is led by farmers in Odesa region, where 1072.9 thsd ha have been threshed. Khmelnytsky region is the leader in terms of yields, with 6.51 t/ha.
Agrarians in Dnipropetrovs’k, Odesa, Kharkiv and Kherson regions have started harvesting buckwheat and millet.
