Ukraine harvested 37.4 million tons of grains and oilseeds

Ukrainian farmers have completed harvesting early grain crops and continue threshing late grain and industrial crops. As of today, 37.4 million tons of new crops have been harvested.

Grain and pulses were harvested on an area of 6,841 thou hectares with a yield of 43.6 c/ha, and 29,800.1 thou tons of grain were threshed, including

• wheat was threshed on 4,690 thousand hectares (yield – 47.3 c/ha), 22,190 thousand tons were harvested;
• barley was harvested on 1,504 thousand hectares (yield – 39.0 c/ha), 5,862 thousand tons were harvested;
• peas were harvested on 154 thousand hectares (yield – 25.7 c/ha), 396.8 thousand tons were harvested;
• corn was harvested on 40.6 thousand hectares (yield – 44.9 c/ha), 182.5 thousand tons were harvested;
• buckwheat was harvested on 96.9 thou hectares (yield – 14.3 c/ha), harvested 138.2 thou tons;
• millet was harvested on 58.6 thou hectares (yield – 21.4 c/ha), with a harvest of 125.3 thou tons;
• other grains and pulses were harvested on 297 thou hectares, with a harvest of 905 thou tons.

Odesa region harvested the most grain crops – over 3 mln tons, including wheat – 2.3 mln tons and barley – 966.4 thou tons. Vinnytsia region is the leader in buckwheat harvesting, with 21.38 thou tons of the grain harvested there, while Poltava region harvested the most millet – 28.10 thou tons.

Oilseeds were harvested on an area of 2,988 thou hectares, with a total harvest of 7,649 thou tons, including

• rapeseed was harvested on an area of 1,396 thou hectares (yield – 28.7 c/ha), 4,003 thou tons of seeds were harvested;
• sunflower seeds was harvested on the area of 1,089 thousand hectares (yield – 21.8 c/ha), 2,375 thousand tons of seeds were harvested;
• soybeans were harvested on an area of 504 thousand hectares (yield – 25.2 c/ha), harvested 1,271 thousand tons.

Poltava region is the leader in harvesting sunseed (443.6 thou tons) and soybeans (316.2 thou tons), while Odesa region is the leader in rapeseed (436.9 thou tons).

Sugar beet harvesting continues, with 32.3 thou hectares of sugar beet harvested, 1,460 thou tons of sweet roots harvested, yielding 451.7 c/ha. Lviv region is the leader in sugar beet harvesting (118.7 thousand tons).
