Ukraine harvested 10 mln tons of sunseed

Ukraine has harvested 71.4 million tons of new grains and oilseeds on an area of 19.2 million hectares. In total, 52.1 million tons of grains and almost 19.3 million tons of oilseeds were harvested.
In particular
- wheat – 4.9 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, with a harvest of 22.4 million tons
- barley – 1.4 million hectares (or 100%) were threshed, with a harvest of 5.6 million tons
- peas – 212.2 thou hectares (or 100%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 470.5 thou tons;
- corn – 3.5 million hectares (or 88%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 22.3 million tons;
- millet – 88.1 thousand hectares (or 95%) were harvested, with a total harvest of 161 thousand tons;
- buckwheat – 87.8 thou hectares (or 99%), harvested 127.2 thou tons;
- sunseed – 4.8 million hectares (or 97%) were harvested, with 10 million tons of seeds harvested;
- soybeans – 2.6 million hectares (or 98%) were harvested, 5.9 million tons of seeds were harvested;
- rapeseed – 1.3 million hectares (or 100%) were harvested, with 3.5 million tons of seeds harvested.
In terms of gross grain harvest, the leaders are agricultural producers in Odesa region – 4.6 mln tonnes, Chernihiv region – 4.2 mln tonnes, and Poltava region – 4.1 mln tonnes. In terms of yields, farmers in Khmelnytsky region are ahead with 7.69 t/ha, Chernihiv region – 6.91 t/ha, and Ternopil region – 6.68 t/ha.
Agrarians in 16 regions are completing sugar beet harvesting on 238.1 thousand hectares, or 92%. A total of 11.4 million tons of sweet roots have been harvested.
