Ukraine exported more than one million tons of grain in the new season
The volume of exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY as of July 17 amounted to almost 1.3 mln tonnes, up 16% compared to the same period last season (1.1 mln tonnes). This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, 403 thsd tonnes of wheat have been shipped since the beginning of the season, which is 81% more than last year. Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 132 thsd tonnes (1.5 times more).
Rye was shipped in the amount of 0.2 thousand tons.
Ukraine exported 728 thousand tons of corn, which is 5% more than the volume of shipments on the same date last season.
In 2023/24 MY, Ukraine exported 4.8 thsd tonnes of flour, up 71% compared to the same period last season (2.8 thsd tonnes).
For reference: in 2022/23 MY, the exports of grains and pulses totaled 49 mln tonnes: wheat – 16.8 mln tonnes, barley – 2.7 mln tonnes, rye – 18 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.1 mln tonnes, flour – 153.6 thsd tonnes.
