Ukraine exported meat worth half a billion dollars
Ukrainian exporters in January-June sent to foreign markets 237 thousand tons of meat and by-products, which is 5% more than in the same period last year.
This is stated in the report of the Ukrainian Agrarian Export Association.
It is noted that foreign currency earnings from these products increased by 15% and amounted to $505 million.
“This was possible due to increased sales in foreign markets of poultry meat – 226 thousand tons (by 6%) worth $463 million (by 18%),” – explained experts.
Export sales of sausages – up to $2.8 million (+57%) and ready and canned meat products – $23.9 million (+146%) also increased.
