Ukraine exported almost 31 million tons of grain

The exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY amounted to almost 31 mln tonnes as of March 8. This is down 2.5 mln tonnes, or 7% compared to the same period last season. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, since the beginning of the season, 12.4 mln tons of wheat have been shipped, which is 6% higher than last year.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 1.8 mln tons, which is 17% less than last year.
Rye was shipped in 1 thousand tons (-94%).
Ukraine exported 16.6 mln tons of corn, which is 2.8 mln tons or 15% less than the same date last season.
Ukraine exported 74.9 thsd tonnes of flour, down 28.4 thsd tonnes or 27% year-on-year.
For reference: in 2022/23 MY, the exports of grains and pulses totaled 49 mln tonnes: wheat – 16.8 mln tonnes, barley – 2.7 mln tonnes, rye – 18 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.1 mln tonnes, flour – 153.6 thsd tonnes.
