Ukraine exported 42.4 million tons of grain
As of May 8, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 42 mln 406 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 241 thsd tonnes less than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 16 million 173 thousand tons, which is 1 million 557 thousand tons or 1.1 times more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 2 million 230 thousand tons of barley and 1.3 thousand tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 23 mln 522 thsd tonnes, which is 1 mln 700 thsd tonnes or 1.07 times less than last year.
In addition, 87.8 thousand tons of flour (or 117.1 thousand tons in terms of grain) were shipped abroad, which is 43.0 thousand tons or almost 1.48 times less than last year.
Preliminary data on grain and legume exports were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on May 3. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY, 41 mln 989 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses were exported.
As a reminder, the exports of agricultural products in the first half of 2023/24 MY are 17% lower than last year.
