Ukraine exported 35% less grain in December
In December of this year, Ukraine exported 3.1 mln tons of grains and pulses. This is 1.7 mln tons or 35% less than in the same month last season. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, in the reporting month, the country exported 0.7 mln tonnes of wheat, down 52% compared to last December.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 106 thsd tonnes, down 45% compared to the same period in 2023.
Corn was exported in the amount of 2.3 mln tons, which is 27% less than in the same month last season.
Exports of Ukrainian flour amounted to 5.5 thsd tonnes, which is 34% less than last year (8.3 thsd tonnes).
For reference: in MY 2023/24, the exports of grains and legumes totaled 50.8 mln tonnes: wheat – 18.4 mln tonnes, barley – 2.5 mln tonnes, rye – 1.6 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.4 mln tonnes, flour – 98.2 thsd tonnes.
